Application Notice of Jiangxi Provincial

Government Scholarship for International Students

1.Applicants:

Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship is applicable to international

students who are applying for or are studying in universities in Jiangxi,

including PhD students, graduate students, undergraduate students or visiting

students with more than 6-month study period, but not students from Hong

Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Applicants should be friendly to China and excellent

in character and learning.

2. Amount of Scholarship

A Class Scholarship: CNY 25000/Year for outstanding PhD students and

graduate students;

B Class Scholarship: CNY 20000/Year for outstanding undergraduate students;

C Class Scholarship: CNY 6000/Year for visiting students who are excellent in

character and learning;

3.Application Criteria:

1) PhD students: Applicants are required to hold a Master’s degree or equivalent

degree and submit letters of Recommendation from 2 Professors or associate

Professors, and under the age of 40 upon enrollment;

2) Graduate students: Applicants are required to hold a Bachelor’s degree or

equivalent degree and submit letters of Recommendation from 2 Professors or

associate Professors, and under the age of 35 upon enrollment;

3) Undergraduate students: Applicants are required to hold an academic

certificate or diploma equivalent to that of Chinese high school and under the

age of 25 upon enrollment;

4) Visiting student: Applicant’s period of study should be half a year or above.

5) Applicants should bear the citizenship of non-PRC countries and visa, and be

friendly to China and in good health.

6) Applicants should abide by Chinese laws and regulations, meet the criteria of

application of the university, and be excellent in character and learning.

7) Applicants who have already become a student in China should be the top

student of his/her class or among all the students of the same academic program

without record of violating Chinese laws and school rules.

8) Applicants who are studying Chinese or related programs should provide

relevant proof to show his/her Chinese language proficiency such as HSK

Certificate etc..

The condition of Chinese language proficiency could be relaxed for applicants

of academic programs other than Chinese or related programs.

9) Applicants should not have received other scholarship granted by Chinese

government of all levels.

4.Application materials:

1). 2 copies of Application Form of Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship

for International Students (Appendix 1);

2). 2 photocopies of notarized academic certificate and transcripts respectively;

3). 2 photocopies of passport;

4). 2 photocopies of Health Certificate;

5). 2 photocopies of recommendations letters (not including undergraduate

students and visiting student);

6). 2 photocopies of Study Proposal and Character and Behavioral Assessment

Report respectively (for students applying to study in China)

The application materials will not be returned

Time of Application

Application will be accepted from January to June of every year.
