Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute will enroll doctorate students of Material Science and Engineering and Design in 2016. The two disciplines are first-level disciplines. The number of enrolled students in each college depends on the application and evaluation of students, and Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute makes the adjustments during the admission.

　　The educational objectives are to cultivate high-level professional talents with the all-around moral, intellectual, and physical development, solid and broad basic theories and systematic and in-depth specialized knowledge of their disciplines, the ability of doing scientific researches on their own, and the creative achievements in science or specialized technologies.

　　1．Foreign citizens with valid foreign passports, Chinese culture passion, good morality, and legal compliance.

　　2．①People with a master’s degree

　　②Fresh graduates with a full-time academic or professional master’s degree (with a master’s 　　degree before the admission)

　　③People with an equivalent education level：have obtained a bachelor’s degree for more than 6 years (including 6 years, from the date of obtaining a bachelor’s degree to the date of doctoral student admission ), and an equivalent education level with master graduates. The applicants are required to take major master courses of the applying majors after the undergraduate graduation, and provide the relevant evidences.

　　④People with more than 180 scores of no below HSK5 level in HSK Certificate；

 　　V. Application procedures

　　All the qualified applicants shall register, confirm the relevant information, pay the application fee, and submit the following documents (for those applicants who send the following documents by post shall only send copies, and the original ones shall be verified before the interview, and the application fee shall be paid on site before the interview) in JCI International Cooperation and Exchange Office during the specified period.

　　2）Resume (including personal study and work experiences, abilities and achievements and their corresponding proof materials)

　　3）Ten 2-cun color photos (name and applying major are noted on the back side)

　　4）Application form (applicant’s applying major understanding and research plan statement)

　　5）Recommendation letters of more than 2 associate professors or professors. For students applying a doctor’s degree of design, they shall provide a copy of their works (including their works of recent three years, 8-10 7-cun color photos of their creations, professional works, and sketch works in which at least 3 original works)

　　VI. Applicant professional qualification primary election and reexamination (interview)

　　In the doctoral entrance examination for overseas students, the primary election of applicant professional qualification is conducted. International Cooperation and Exchange Office is responsible for receiving applications of doctoral students and organizing the submission of applicant documents to the leading group of enrolling doctoral students. According to applicants’ professional qualification, the interview list is made (the form of the reexamination is interview).

　　1.Admission principle：Justice, fairness, merit-based enrollment, quality guarantee, and put quality before quantity.

　　2.Admission way

　　（1）Selection standard：the total score of students.

Mentor enrollment: in principle, each doctoral mentor enrolls no more than 2 doctoral students each year.

　　（2）Mentor selection

　　Students’ choices cannot be easily changed. Students with higher scores select their mentor first, and there is two-way selection between students and mentors. If the mentors have already enrolled 2 doctoral students, the students can change their mentors and research areas within the firs-level discipline after having the reelected mentor’s permission.

　　（3）According to the primary election of applicant professional qualification and the total score of reexamination, the reexamination working group of each discipline enrollment puts forward the admission list, taking students’ professional background, language learning competence, physical condition, and applying major into consideration. The leading group of enrolling doctoral students reviews and confirms the admission list. If there are special circumstances, the reexamination working group of each discipline enrollment puts forward the written opinions and submits it with signature to the leading group of enrolling doctoral students which reviews and confirms. The reexamination working group of each discipline enrollment is responsible for the explaining work.
